This stunning piece of architecture, the Monuments Magazine Holder, has been designed for the Danish design company, Menu. Our intellectual curiosities shape the interests we have in this world. Personal tastes and interests we have, are commonly portrayed in the magazines we buy and the books we read. This magazine holder, designed by Dubokk, showcases our reading habits as artwork for people to admire. What’s more the magazine holder is an interior monument itself. Similar to the Plinth series, from Menu themselves, the two identical blocks of marble raises the holder to create a monumental and architectural aesthetic.
The idea behind this design was to elevate the magazine holder so that it can receive the attention that it deserves. The sleek, sharp and contemporary design makes this homeware piece a versatile item to stage around any modern interior space. Both commercial and residential spaces are suitable to host a magazine holder, whether that is in a residential lounge or hotel lobby. Crafted from two adored pieces of material, marquina marble and brushed brass, Monuments will stun the majority, if not all your guests.
From designer lighting to unique homeware accessories, Menu have a collection of sophisticated pieces that has won numerous talent awards around the globe.
