The John Green Oak Embrace Table is one of the best and coolest multi-function tables I have come across. It was designed by John Green, when he was still studying, as part of a project to redesign the Penguin Donkey bookstand - an iconic mid-century piece of furniture designed by Austrian architect Egon Riss in 1939 for London firm Isokon.
Embrace has rightly gone on to win design awards itself. John Green's Embrace table is a keeper. It's a table for all stages of your life. It consists of two pieces of oak that can be 'embraced' together or used as stand-alone piece, for example, as a laptop table, a bench or a breakfast table, as a magazine rack, an occasional table or as a table and chair set for the kids to use - Embrace is highly versatile and so so cool!
Each of the Embrace tables are individually numbered, stamped and signed by the designer
