As a design rediscovered in the Vitra archives, the LAR Eames Plastic Armchair was originally designed in the 1950s by Ray & Charles Eames. Discovered in a photograph of the duo’s incredibly designed home in Pacific Palisades, California, Vitra reissued the design for the modern market. The chair features a twist on the distinctive wire base for the chair, compressed and moved to fit into new dimensions for your home. This base holds up a moulded plastic seat, which is comforting and made so that you can sink into it and relax. It’s compact and lightweight frame helps to add to the versatility of this design, giving it a wider range of movement to suit wherever you most need a relaxing chair to help within your home.
Its iconic shape adds an accent to any room, bringing a silhouette to your living room, dining room or bedroom. Choose from an incredibly wide range of colours, from bold primary colours to more muted greys, black or whites. The variability in the colour scheme helps to make up the majority of this design, drawing the eye in to uplift this armchair.
Match the Vitra LAR Eames Plastic Armchair with a side table to create a relaxing area in your home for you to sit in, with added practicality. Whilst you are here, we would love for you to take the time to explore our full collection of occasional chairs in our living room furniture range that we have to offer here at beut.
