Founded by Carine Jannin at the young age of 24 in 1996, the intriguing design brand Ibride was established. Jannin created her very own publishing house that specialized in the design of objects. She set out to create a library of products that were not influenced by the industry norms but instead showcased eccentric designs that didn’t conform to regularity. Soon after, prestigious designers Rachel and Benoit Convers joined her in her exploits.
Together, this fantastic trio achieved their main goal, to create bold, exceptional and highly original products along with colourful and vibrant design-led pieces. Today, the Ibride collection comprises a vast range of different products including vases, decorative trays , ornaments and various unique furniture products such as side tables and shelving. Quickly observed is the distinct representation of animal-human hybrids, characterized by the body of a human and the head of varying animals such as horses, sheep, reindeers and much more. This idea is represented through the brands name, meaning ‘hybrid’ in French. Ibride’s range of prints are printed as portraits or onto physical, functional objects such as trays that can be used to serve or transform your wall into a piece of art. Other displays include more animal-inspired creations such as the Polar Bear Bookshelf and Ibex Wall Storage as well as somewhat gothic/mystical 1800’s inspired designs.
Lovingly crafted from high-quality materials in France, the Ibride products usually have more than one function. For example, the Diva Lucia Ostrich Console combines a beautiful console table with a luminous lamp. If you have a passion for and are in search of these deeply mysterious and detailed designs as a decorative yet functional piece for your home, then we believe your search has brought you to the right place.
