Beut Says

The beautiful tile print wallpaper, Piccadilly, from Cole & Son has been inspired from the traditional “blue and white” tiles which everyone knows and loves. This wallpaper, available in 5 different colours ways ranging from blues, to black and a yellow, would look great in any home and help to add that gorgeous Victorian style that everyone is in ore of. The tile design is large but it is not too large to take away form the rest of the room. This is a great alternative to spending a fortune and creating a room or wall of full tiles.

The inspiration for Albemarle collection of wallpapers from Cole and Son was the Albemarle Club, a Victorian private members club. Based in London this notorious club was both progressive and bohemian and will always be remembered for two things – its progressive view on women and its connection to Oscar Wilde. The collection is both romantic and glamorous and at the same time slightly bohemian.  There are nine designs in the collection each named after and influenced by a Victorian cultural icon or gem

Baudelaire :- a French poet,

Chatterton:- English Poet Thomas Chatterton

Wyndham:- opened in 1899 by Actor/manger Charles Wyndham, Wyndham's Theatre  is still running today

Albery:- James Albery was a successful victorian playwright,

Aldwych:- is an Ewardian theatre in London’s West End that is still running today.

Byron:- Lord Byron – leading light of the Romantics and widely regarded as one of Britain’s best poet died tragically young he is still read and loved today

Piccadilly:- –Albemarle street in runs off this London street Piccadilly

Blake:- Major 19th century writer and artist and a leading figure of the Romantic Age

Coleridge:- Samuel Taylor Coleridge poet and founder of the Romantic Movement famous for the tale of the Ancient Mariner and Kubla Khan
