The OW2000 Egyptian Stool was designed by Ole Wanscher in 1957 after a particularly fascinating trip to Egypt. The impact of his travel outside of his home country of Denmark was clear, as he went on to design a whole collection of Egyptian based items based off of his holiday there. This chair itself was inspired by the lightweight Egyptian Stools at the Temple of Thebes which were designed as old seats of power back in the age of the pharoahs. The design nods to his inspiration, but also makes sure that he adds his own flair and unique charismatic style to the piece.
The seat itself is crafted from saddle leather and easily collapses into the chair when it is folded up, helping to make it lightweight and practical for your every need. Add this stool to your home to increase your worldly look and design and feel invited to add a piece of design history to your home. Use this as a handy foot stool or extra piece of stylish seating within your very own living room.
A classic piece of Scandinavian design from ”> Carl Hansen , mix this footstool into the living room with an eccentric lounge chair to create the most relaxing interior space. On the other hand, why not pair it with its counterpart, the Egyptian Coffee Table ?
