Created by Børge Mogensen, a frequent collaborator with Carl Hansen, the BM1160 Table was inspired and unveiled for the first time at a Guild exhibition in Copenhagen in the 1950’s. Inspired by the hunting theme set for the competition, Mogensen created this exact table to align with the theme, before the table took off in it’s own right to become a staple of the Carl Hansen furniture line up. It’s narrow countertop allows for a smaller and lighter frame and size, whilst also increasing the intimacy of those who sit around it. It’s rounded edges and smoothed surfaces means that it is perfect for frequent use within your home and it’s simplistic yet stunning inviting design makes it so it can fit easily into any room in your house.
Supported with two diagonal metal beams, the Hunting Table is supported so that it can bear more weight for significant amounts of time to increase its practicality and versatility. On top of its function, the table also providea an aesthetically pleasing divide through the straight cut lines of the table by offsetting the directional flow of your eyes, added to with the use of shiny metal to change the texture and colours throughout.
Perhaps pair this with a couple of our designer dining chairs or browse more from the Carl Hansen range as well as the rest of our dining table collection.
