Originally designed in 1959 by architect and professor Bodil Kjær, the BK16 Side Table has maintained its iconic design for over 60 years. Crafted in a modern minimalism style with rustic inspiration, the table has practicality at the forefront of its creation. Inspired by the cubism movement, it’s squared edges and straight lines create a standout image in a geometric form, one that is hard to ignore when placed in a room.
The table itself is built by craftsmen from teak, which is then oiled to provide it with it’s bronzed sheen. It’s functionality with both it’s expansive countertop and sturdy frame mean that it’s very practical for your home and garden and can withstand a multitude of items. The Indoor-Outdoor series that encapsulates this table means that it is comfortable in either setting and can weather through the elements. Place this side table outside to cater for drinks and nibbles or rather place indoors for a stunning yet unconventional side table.
Why not compliment this with the BK12 Sofa to create a harmonious and comforting setting, or perhaps browse more of the outdoor collection or the rest of the Carl Hansen collection.
